Do you ever ask yourself what it is you want out of life? What happiness means to you? What success looks like to you?
It seems that social media feeds, magazines and even the TV bombard us with information about being ourselves, giving tips on how to be happy, be successful…. but really, isn’t that just someone else’s idea? That’s what happiness means to them.
Don’t get me wrong – some of those posts/articles are great, they make you think outside the box, get out of a rut you perhaps didn’t know you were in. But they may not be right for you.
I have been thinking about this a lot recently. About what life should be about. And my conclusion… I am not quite doing things right.
That’s about as far as I have got mind you. I don’t know what is right for me, but I have been noting what things make me smile, what might make the perfect day (if there is such a thing).
I don’t know if it’s my age (getting on a bit now…) but I feel like I have changed over the last year or so. I want fewer things – but want to do more and experience more.
And my art – that’s changing too. I still love to draw and paint, to create – but I feel like experimenting more, try new creative activities.
I think what I am trying to say is that Jac’s Little Welsh Studio is evolving, and you may see some changes.
I am not sure exactly what the changes will be – but I do want to share any new creations with you. And go back to basics, creating one-of-a-kind creations – I really do love creating personalised illustrations and items for you. Those are definitely on my list of “things that make me smile”.
But I also want to share with you my adventures – outdoor adventures, any creative workshops I go to, day trips, sightseeing – things I learn. I may even take studio muse Ted E Bear along.
