Create Your Own Sunshine Card

When skies seem grey, just remember – you have the power to create your own sunshine. Be the best version of you and keep smiling!

Maybe you want a card to cheer up a friend – or something for yourself, to brighten up a rainy day. This greetings card has a positive message as well as the cheeriest of sunshines to help raise a smile.

The card features a hand painted smiling sunshine with the words “Create Your Own Sunshine” written by hand. The paint brush is also hand painted, created using shrink plastic, which you can learn more about below. (NOTE – due to that small part, this card must be kept out of reach of children)

If you are looking for something bright and cheerful – and totally unique, you have just found it!

The final card is A6 sized (approximately 15 x 10.5cm). The inside of the card is blank for your own message.

This card actually started out as a way to reuse the little shrink plastic shapes I made, intending to turn them into brooches.

The brooch making did not work as I had hoped – but I did not want to waste these one of a kind creations. The paintbrush you see here was hand drawn and painted onto a special sheet of plastic. It was then cut out and baked in over where it shrank to about half it’s actual size, and thickened to a sturdy little decoration.

The little paintbrush is secured to the card using a glue gun – to make sure it really is stuck! (but please do not let little children play with it, just in case).
