Rainbow Aperture Card

£5.95

Rainbows have always been a symbol of hope and positively, and with this one set against a bright watercolour blue sky it really does seem bright and cheery.

It’s all ready to send to someone to make them smile, to carry a greeting of hope or just to add a little colour to a shelf.

This card is a hand made, one of a kind item, left blank for you to add a special message, although it looks equally good on a shelf or on the wall.

This A6 card features a little hand made shrink plastic rainbow, on a hand painted watercolour sky, placed inside the aperture section of the card. (Read more about how the rainbow is made below).

If you are looking for something cute, cheerful and totally unique, you have just found it!

This is an A6 card – (approximately 15 x 10.5cm ), left lank inside for your own message.

(NOTE – as this card has a small part, it must be kept out of reach from children).

SIZE
The final card is A6 sized (approximately 15 x 10.5cm). The aperture is approximately 6cm square. Each card is provided with a white envelope.

This card actually started out as a way to reuse the little shrink plastic shapes I made, intending to turn them into brooches.

The brooch making did not work as I had hoped – but I did not want to waste these one of a kind creations. The little rainbow you see here was hand drawn and painted onto a special sheet of plastic. It was then cut out and baked in the oven where it shrank to about half it’s actual size, and thickened to a sturdy little decoration.

Finally, the little shape was attached to the card using a glue gun – to make sure it really is stuck! (However, please keep this card out of reach from children – just in case!)
